What you will do
- Perform CAE simulations using LS-DYNA to evaluate occupant performance for high-speed frontal load cases.
- Lead vehicle design recommendations to meet safety performance targets documented in Vehicle Technical Specifications (VTS).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with safety, structures, restraints, and CAE teams to deliver protection solutions.
- Plan and execute post-test analysis at Vehicle Proving Grounds and compare results with CAE models.
- Use advanced CAE tools (Variation Study/DOE/DFSS/MDO) to optimize occupant performance.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs Degree in Engineering or Physics.
- 5+ years of relevant post-graduate industry experience.
- Working knowledge of CAE and Validation tools: LS-DYNA, PRIMER, METAPOST, ANSA, or HYPERWORKS.
- Must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability to travel locally to sites like Milford Proving Grounds.
Nice to have
- Masterβs or PhD in Engineering or Applied Physics.
- Knowledge of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) and Global Safety Requirements.
- Working knowledge of Unigraphics, TeamCenter, and VisMockup.
