Salary: $131,227 – $169,060 per year

What you will do

• Integrate truck controls and plant models of components and subsystems into a powertrain system model.
• Execute performance studies of L5 power systems (engine/battery, transmission, hydraulic, thermal) using Dynasty, GT Suite, or AMESim.
• Influence early product concepts and control software design decisions through machine system performance simulation.
• Analyze machine performance results, specifically focusing on fuel/energy consumption, productivity, and reliability.
• Validate controls models by comparing simulation test results to on-machine test data.
• Manage negotiations with suppliers and leverage new technologies to improve product durability and quality.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aerospace Engineering with 2+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree in the same fields with 5+ years of experience.
• Proven experience in identifying and resolving engineering issues for engine, battery, transmission, and powertrain systems.
• Experience with Software in the Loop (SiL) setup and validation.
• Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink, CANape, and Python.
• Experience managing machine models using GIT tools.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Illinois, USA.
