What you will do

• Lead the development and review of functional safety work products for vehicle programs in compliance with ISO 26262, SOTIF, and UL 4600.
• Develop safety argumentation and create evidence-based safety cases for hardware and system-level concepts.
• Conduct hazard and risk analyses to develop functional, technical, and hardware safety concepts.
• Define and decompose hardware safety requirements based on system and software architectures.
• Perform detailed safety analyses including FMEA, FMEDA, DFA, FTA, and STPA for power electronics and autonomous components.
• Lead technical workshops and safety training sessions on hardware safety best practices.

Requirements

• Based in the United States (eligible for US benefits).
• 5+ years of experience in automotive functional safety roles.
• Hands-on electronics hardware design and circuit development experience (schematics, component selection, circuit analysis).
• B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 standards.
• Proficiency in safety analysis techniques: FMEA, FMEDA, and DFA.
