TL;DR

Senior Manager, Payroll Compliance & International Operations (SaaS): Leading payroll operations and compliance across APAC and EMEA to ensure accurate and timely employee payments with an accent on operational foundations and scalability. Focus on managing multi-country statutory requirements, strengthening audit readiness, and leading distributed teams.

Location: Must be based in Australia (Remote within the country); in-person onboarding is required.

What you will do

  • Lead payroll operations across APAC and EMEA, ensuring accuracy and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Partner with global and local payroll vendors to resolve operational issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage payroll compliance calendars, track statutory requirements, and monitor regulatory changes.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits to strengthen audit readiness processes.
  • Standardize international payroll processes, controls, and reporting to support global scalability.
  • Lead and develop a distributed team, including employees in EMEA and contractors in the Philippines.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience managing global or multi-country payroll operations.
  • Expertise in international payroll compliance across APAC and EMEA jurisdictions.
  • Experience leading distributed teams and partnering with global payroll vendors.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll controls, audit requirements, and SOX-compliant processes.
  • Must be based in Australia.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a high-growth technology or SaaS environment.
  • Experience supporting international expansion or new market entry initiatives.
  • Management of equity, mobility, or expatriate payroll programs.
  • Proficiency with Workday, ADP, and other global payroll platforms.
  • Experience leading vendor consolidation or global process standardization.
