What you will do

• Oversee multi-state bi-weekly payroll operations for union, non-union, and prevailing wage employees.
• Partner with a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) and internal stakeholders to optimize payroll and HR services.
• Develop, maintain, and audit payroll policies and end-to-end processes to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Lead, coach, and develop the payroll team to ensure operational excellence.
• Manage payroll reporting, audits, reconciliations, commissions, and bonuses while maintaining data integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of multi-state payroll administration and payroll tax expertise.
• CPP certification required (or willingness to obtain within 1 year of employment).
• Proven experience leading payroll teams and implementing best practices.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems such as Workday, UKG, or ADP.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage deadlines and confidential information.
