RCDD Communications Designer (Federal): Leading communication designs and coordinating systems for U.S. Government agencies with an accent on ICT, low voltage, and telecommunications infrastructure. Location: Hybrid. Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and based in one of the following locations: Overland Park, Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, or Arlington.

What you will do

• Lead communication designs and coordinate across various technical disciplines.
• Create conceptual and detailed systems designs, including drawings, specifications, and analysis deliverables.
• Collaborate with BIM/CAD teams to ensure accurate drawing production.
• Perform quality control and independent technical reviews of designs.
• Manage assigned budgets, scopes, and project schedules.
• Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced staff members.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
• Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification is required.
• 4+ years of experience in designing telecommunication systems.
• Expert knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, and BICSI industry standards.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling, inside plant (ISP) infrastructure, and pathways.

Nice to have

• Certified Technology Specialist-Design (CTS-D) certification.
• Experience in outside plant (OSP) design for copper and fiber optic systems.
• Experience in audio-visual (AV) system design.
