BIM Technician

TL;DR

BIM Technician (Engineering): Supporting the preparation and coordination of construction documents and design deliverables using architectural and structural models with an accent on BIM and CAD software application. Focus on developing accurate construction drawings, coordinating across disciplines, and resolving technical clashes to meet project requirements.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Albuquerque, NM (Hybrid)

What you will do

• Prepare construction drawings and documentation from sketches and design concepts using BIM and CAD software.
• Develop and modify architectural and structural models in accordance with company standards.
• Coordinate drawings and models across disciplines to identify and resolve clashes.
• Review drawings for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with codes.
• Manage drawing sets, reference files, and sheet organization.
• Respond to RFIs and support construction administration documentation.

Requirements

• 5 years minimum experience producing architectural and/or structural construction drawings.
• Working knowledge of BIM and CAD software, specifically Revit and AutoCAD.
• Understanding of building information modeling concepts and workflows.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or technical training in drafting, architecture, or engineering technology.
• Experience in an engineering or architectural consulting environment.
• Familiarity with clash detection and model coordination processes.
• Knowledge of construction sequencing and constructability principles.
