Software Developer (Java)

Location: Toronto, Canada; flexible hybrid work model. Eligibility to work for hirify.global Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity is required.

Salary: CAD 115,000–125,000 annually, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain highly distributed, high-performance systems.
• Build and support resilient microservices applications across the full development lifecycle.
• Design and develop REST APIs, databases, and event-driven services.
• Support application operations through problem analysis and resolution.
• Participate in rotating on-call support when required.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Professional experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate.
• Experience with relational database design and development, such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Experience with AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS.
• Experience with application security, authentication, authorization, secure coding, frontend technologies, and agile software delivery.
