What you will do

• Design and build core database infrastructure to ensure high availability and scalability.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on MySQL and database administration.
• Develop and maintain self-service tooling to empower internal engineering teams.
• Create disaster recovery and system failover plans.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
• Write technical documentation and advocate for system health and quality.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 9+ years of experience in software engineering or related technical discipline.
• Proven experience maintaining and delivering production software in languages like Go, Rust, Python, Java, or C++.
• 3+ years of experience using monitoring tooling to diagnose performance or availability issues.
• Strong communication skills and experience driving technical consensus through design documentation.
