IT Engineer

TL;DR

IT Engineer (Infrastructure/Systems): Architecting, building, and operating the systems, infrastructure, and platforms that power the venture capital firm with an accent on automation, security, and high-stakes executive support. Focus on designing reliable SaaS integrations, managing endpoint fleets, and scaling IT automation pipelines.

Location: Must be based in San Francisco or Menlo Park, CA (In-office 4 days a week)

Salary: $189,000 - $221,000

What you will do

• Design, implement, and secure the entire IT systems and SaaS software stack within the environment.
• Lead cross-functional IT projects, coordinating distributed teams to ensure timely and successful delivery.
• Build and scale IT automations using workflow tools, scripting, and APIs to eliminate manual toil.
• Architect and evolve endpoint management, identity, and access control platforms using Jamf, Okta, and Intune.
• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex issues, providing expert support for C-suite executives.
• Author high-quality documentation and knowledge base articles for IT peers and end users.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in systems, networking, or security engineering.
• Must be based in or be able to work from San Francisco or Menlo Park offices.
• Deep technical knowledge of MacOS, Windows, and iOS.
• Proven experience administering a wide breadth of SaaS tools including Okta, Jamf, and Google Workspace.
• Experience with client platform engineering tools such as Jamf, Kandji, or Intune.
• Exceptional communication skills for interacting effectively with the most senior levels of the organization.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (switching, routing, DHCP, DNS, RADIUS).
• Experience managing Zoom Rooms and integrated Audio/Visual systems.
• Proficiency with Android OS.
