What you will do

• Deploy, configure, and maintain CloudSQL/PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MSSQL, and MySQL environments.
• Optimize query performance and right-size instances to drive efficiency and cloud cost-savings.
• Implement encryption at rest/transit, row-level security, and PII masking to exceed SOC2 and GDPR standards.
• Design and implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies to ensure zero data loss.
• Integrate database observability into the global monitoring stack and SRE infrastructure-as-code ecosystem.
• Lead complex data migrations and schema changes across diverse environments with minimal downtime.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a DBA in high-performance production environments.
• Deep technical expertise in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MSSQL, and MySQL across GCP and AWS.
• Proven track record of significantly improving query performance and reducing cloud costs.
• Extensive experience implementing failover clusters, replication, and backup/recovery strategies.
• Expertise in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and engine-level logic (T-SQL, PL/pgSQL, MQL).
• Must be a permanent resident of the United States.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with observability platforms such as New Relic.
• Experience managing databases within audited environments (HIPAA or PCI-DSS).
