Storage Platform Engineer (Infrastructure)

Location: San Francisco, New York City, Palo Alto, or Remote (International)

Salary: $220K – $405K (USD for U.S.-based positions)

What you will do

• Design, operate, and improve the storage platform, including relational, NoSQL, and vector databases.
• Own reliability, performance, and availability SLOs for stateful systems and drive root cause analysis.
• Define and evolve storage abstractions, APIs, and tooling to simplify consumption for product teams.
• Partner with AI, infra, and product teams to design high-throughput, low-latency data models.
• Lead capacity planning, benchmarking, and lifecycle management for storage clusters.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating large-scale backend or infrastructure systems.
• Deep hands-on experience with major database technologies (e.g., Postgres, MySQL, DynamoDB, Cassandra).
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems and performance optimization.
• Proven track record of owning services end-to-end, from design to on-call.
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, or Python.
