TL;DR

Claims Handler (Insurance): Managing a caseload of Public and Employers Liability claims with an accent on personal injury, product liability, and property damage. Focus on handling claims from inception to settlement pre-litigation and ensuring compliance with client SLAs.

Location: Hybrid (1 day in office, 4 days from home). Must be based in or able to commute to the Liverpool or Leeds office

What you will do

  • Proactively manage a caseload of Public Liability, Employers Liability, Property Damage, and Product Liability claims.
  • Handle claims from inception through to pre-litigation settlement for cases up to a reserve value of £20,000.
  • Maintain accurate data within the relevant case management system.
  • Ensure strict compliance with client SLAs and maintain high quality service standards.
  • Collaborate with the Team Leader on additional assigned tasks to ensure productivity levels are met.

Requirements

  • 12 months of relevant experience OR 6 months of experience plus a law degree or equivalent.
  • Experience working with the MOJ Claims Portal.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload independently and as part of a team.
