What you will do
- Supervise modernization field employees, including direction, training, hiring, performance management, and progressive discipline.
- Administer the company safety program, including required safety audits and reinforcing safety expectations.
- Plan, direct, and prioritize modernization projects and manpower needs using project management and scheduling tools.
- Manage jobsites from survey through completion, including trouble-shooting with mechanics, performing quality audits, and meeting customers on progress.
- Manage subcontractor schedules and performance on turn-key projects.
- Review job status using accounting reports, manage change orders and approvals, and maintain knowledge of elevator code requirements.
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of the construction industry and general management skills (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience managing on a branch departmental level (or equivalent).
- Ability to write reports, contract proposals, and business correspondence.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from management and customers.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle multiple abstract and concrete variables.
