What you will do

• Lead applied R&D activities for industrial and semi-industrial patisserie applications from concept to implementation.
• Define and develop the industrial patisserie product range in collaboration with Product Management and Business Development.
• Drive new product development and optimization projects to ensure cost-efficiency and industrial feasibility.
• Provide technical expertise and tailored application solutions to global customers and local markets.
• Share scientific and technical know-how across the global R&D network to empower local teams.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to manage risk and ensure smooth scale-up.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Bioscience Engineering, Food Technology, or an equivalent scientific discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in food industry R&D, ideally within industrial bakery or patisserie.
• Deep knowledge of ingredient functionality and food processing quality.
• Fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel globally (approximately 30%).
• Must be able to work onsite in Groot-Bijgaarden, Belgium.
