What you will do

• Lead the transition to an AI-first trading platform by consolidating Data Engineering, ML Engineering, and Data Science into a high-performance department.
• Drive the development of predictive models, anomaly detection, and optimization algorithms tailored to the energy trading domain.
• Spearhead the adoption of Generative AI, building production-ready RAG systems, agentic workflows, and NLP solutions for unstructured trading data.
• Define the AI and LLM roadmap to create competitive advantages in energy and commodity markets.
• Provide technical mentorship on vector databases, prompt evaluation, and MLOps (CI/CD for ML).
• Partner with Product and Business leaders to translate complex trading requirements into technical AI solutions.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in Machine Learning and modern LLM development (OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, open-source models, vector stores, agentic workflows).
• Strong technical foundation across the full stack, from data warehousing to model monitoring.
• Genuine interest in the trading domain and energy market complexities.
• Ability to define culture, tech stacks, and workflows for a new department from the ground up.
