What you will do

• Deploy production GenAI use cases with significant business impact across various industries.
• Develop state-of-the-art LLM applications, ranging from consumer products to complex industrial use cases.
• Collaborate with researchers and product engineers on complex fine-tuning and contribute to open-source codebases for inference and fine-tuning.
• Lead pre-sales technical guidance to identify client needs and explain Mistral technologies to diverse stakeholders.
• Provide continuous feedback to product and science teams to improve model and product capabilities.

Requirements

• PhD/Master's in AI/Data Science or equivalent self-taught expertise.
• 7-10+ years of experience as a technical individual contributor on AI-based products.
• Proven expertise in Fine Tuning LLMs, advanced RAG, and agentic use cases.
• Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and the concepts underlying LLMs.
• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure and deploying large-scale AI products.
• English: Fluent (C1+) proficiency required.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site in Munich, Germany.

Nice to have

• Contributions to open-source LLM projects.
• Previous experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Staff ML Engineer, or Staff Data Scientist.
