What you will do

• Deliver critical code for complex projects as an individual contributor to de-risk implementation.
• Lead and mentor teams of Applied AI Engineers on deploying state-of-the-art GenAI applications.
• Drive technical pre-sales discussions and translate customer requirements into actionable solutions.
• Design and oversee the implementation of AI systems including fine-tuning, RAG, and agentic workflows.
• Identify emerging AI trends and champion best practices for inference and deployment.
• Collaborate with product managers and researchers to integrate customer feedback into the product cycle.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Munich for on-site work.
• PhD or Master’s degree in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7-8+ years of experience in AI/ML, with 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Deep expertise in fine-tuning LLMs, advanced RAG, agentic systems, and deploying NLP applications at scale.
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and modern frameworks like LangChain and Hugging Face.
• English: Fluent proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Contributions to open-source projects in the LLM or AI space.
• Experience in customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect or Customer Engineer.
• Track record of driving technical strategy and influencing product direction.
