What you will do

• Develop, validate, and optimize fiber optic termination and polishing processes for high-quality production.
• Establish process parameters, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for fiber handling.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions using structured methodologies like 8D.
• Collaborate with design engineering and quality teams to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and scale-up.
• Perform process validation, capability studies, and statistical analysis to monitor performance.
• Train and guide production technicians on fiber handling and cleanliness standards.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Optical, Materials, Mechanical, or Precision Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry (or Bachelor's with 2+ years relevant experience).
• Technical expertise in fiber optic termination, polishing, and inspection.
• Proven experience in NPI, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and process development.
• Proficiency in SPC, 8D, DOE, and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
• Hands-on experience with automated test systems and tooling design.
• Experience with quality management systems (e.g., AS9100) and ERP systems, preferably SAP.

Nice to have

• Knowledge and experience in laser assembly.
• Experience in photonics, optics, or precision manufacturing sectors.
