Senior Design Engineer (Manufacturing)

TL;DR

Senior Design Engineer (Manufacturing): Designing and implementing new products and components for hirify.global Fleet Products with an accent on prototype testing, functional requirements, and detailed design. Focus on optimizing product components, conducting buy-build analyses, and solving complex technical challenges in machinery design.

Location: Tucson, AZ or Mossville, IL. Requires working onsite five days a week. Domestic relocation available for Tucson, AZ. Visa sponsorship is NOT available.

Salary: $112,710.00 - $183,140.00

What you will do

• Research new materials and competitive products to inform design and development.
• Organize, coordinate, and execute the building, testing, and analysis of prototypes.
• Develop functional requirements and translate them into detailed design documents.
• Perform buy-build analysis for product components to optimize sourcing and production.
• Support proposal preparation, cost estimates, and the creation of technical reports.
• Collaborate with supply specialists and buyers to enhance supplier performance and development.

Requirements

• Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
• Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to determine root causes of organizational problems.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and engineering graphics programs.
• Experience in product design and development from concept through production.
• Must be based in the US or eligible for domestic relocation.
• Must have valid US work authorization (Sponsorship is NOT available).

Nice to have

• Experience with CREO (Cabling/harness Tool, Electrical Harness/Cable Routing, Sheet metal, solid modeling).
• Experience with Teamcenter Vis Mockup or Workflow.
• ELI or ELE Schematic experience.
• Familiarity with hirify.global Products.
