What you will do

• Lead hands-on design and development of consumer products from concept through launch and support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and product teams to evaluate system performance and tradeoffs.
• Drive brainstorming sessions and build proof-of-concept prototypes.
• Conduct rigorous testing and controlled experiments in a lab setting.
• Mentor mechanical engineers, co-ops, and interns.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of product design and development experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or CREO.
• Comfort with Excel, Minitab, or MATLAB for data analysis.
• Hands-on prototyping skills: 3D printing, machining, and clean assembly work.
• Ability to translate technical findings clearly for any audience.

Nice to have

• Background at a consumer product or consulting firm.
• Experience with electronics, sensors, motors, heaters, or PCBAs.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
