Staff Engineer (Java/React)

Salary: $126,490 - $171,134 per year

What you will do

• Translate customer needs into scalable technical solutions and define the long-term technical direction of enterprise platforms.
• Design software integration patterns across a diverse engineering ecosystem aligned with business initiatives.
• Develop the most architecturally impactful components of solutions and define useful development frameworks and libraries.
• Lead the resolution of critical incidents and proactively improve the CI/CD pipeline for increased stability and resilience.
• Mentor senior engineers and provide technical leadership to ensure adherence to engineering best practices.
• Evaluate and select external software vendors, assessing their impact on business goals and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering environments, translating abstract concepts into detailed software plans.
• Proven experience architecting solutions with a focus on high availability, reliability, security, and performance SLOs.
• Proficiency with React, Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, GraphQL, Docker, AWS, GitHub Actions, Datadog, Kubernetes, Open Shift, Terraform, and Elasticsearch.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical ideas to high-level management through documentation and presentations.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a related technical field.
• Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) or Digital Asset Management (DAM).
• Prior experience in the Financial Services industry.
