Software Engineer 1/2/3 (JavaScript/React/Angular/Java/Linux)

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States — Hybrid. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and hold a current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Architect, develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems.
• Build scalable solutions for processing-intensive analytics, large data sets, real-time systems, and enterprise applications.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle, including design, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
• Design high-performing, modular, and reusable components for multiple applications and mission needs.
• Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and customers to evaluate technical trade-offs and deliver effective solutions.
• Optimize performance, contribute to technical innovation, and mentor developers while influencing technical direction.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and a current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another technical discipline.
• 14 years of experience architecting, developing, and maintaining software solutions, with an emphasis on performance optimization.
• Full-stack development experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Object-oriented development experience using Java and JavaScript.
• Experience designing modular, reusable software components and familiarity with Section 508 accessibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience developing web-based geospatial applications with tools such as Leaflet.
• Technical leadership, team lead, or mentoring experience.
• Proactive technical customer service and stakeholder engagement experience.
• Experience optimizing solutions across multiple applications, teams, or technologies.
• Experience using CI/CD pipelines for consistent delivery.
