What you will do

• Evolve platform architecture standards across core infrastructure domains, including Kubernetes and cloud networking.
• Design and validate K8s platform architecture utilizing EKS, Karpenter, and Bottlerocket.
• Define cloud networking patterns, VPC design, routing, ingress/egress, and TGW design.
• Own architectural guidance for edge and traffic management using CDN, DNS, and TLS strategies (Akamai, Cloudflare).
• Standardize API Gateway and north-south access patterns for secure service exposure.
• Produce reference architectures and design documents to guide Platform Infrastructure engineers and application teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in platform, cloud, or infrastructure engineering with architectural responsibility.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and operating production Kubernetes platforms.
• Deep understanding of AWS infrastructure, including networking, security primitives, and managed services.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear standards and reference architectures.
• Must be based in or be able to work from the Salt Lake City, Utah office Monday through Thursday.
