Lead Data Engineer - AWS Architect

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 base annual compensation

What you will do

• Define enterprise-wide AWS cloud architecture strategies and modernization roadmaps.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient AWS-based solutions.
• Drive application modernization through rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, and cloud-native transformation.
• Modernize data platforms, including data lakes, warehouses, governance, ETL/ELT, and real-time analytics.
• Design microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, containerized platforms, and serverless solutions.
• Partner with business, engineering, and technology leaders to optimize cloud investments and support data-driven decisions.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in AWS cloud architecture, including compute, storage, networking, security, and governance.
• Experience with Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, serverless technologies, and enterprise architecture practices.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, compliance, identity management, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, automation frameworks, data platform modernization, and real-time analytics.
• Ability to create technology roadmaps, architecture standards, and modernization business cases.
• Strong stakeholder management, consulting, communication, leadership, architecture review, and solution workshop skills.
