What you will do

• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who have diagnosed learning differences.
• Develop and implement customized curricula, digital tools, and aids to help students access classroom material.
• Create and maintain Student Success Plans, outlining accommodations and support strategies.
• Serve as a primary liaison between parents, external service providers, and the school.
• Counsel students and families through social and emotional challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, pedagogical leadership, and linguists to meet individual student needs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Special Education, School Psychology, Reading & Literacy, or a related field.
• Certification in Educational Therapy, Special Education, or equivalent advanced training.
• 4–7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong working knowledge of the IEP, 504, and ISP processes.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in San Francisco, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience working within independent or charter schools.
• Training in structured literacy programs such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or Lindamood-Bell.
• Fluency in Spanish.
