Senior Software Engineer (React/Node.js)

Location: Poland; hybrid work with attendance at the assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week, focused on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

What you will do

• Develop scalable, responsive software for the Notes and Canvas real-time content creation products.
• Build and maintain frontend features with React and backend services with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design APIs, distributed services, reusable patterns, technical documentation, and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and engineering teams to align priorities, share knowledge, and support onboarding.
• Use AI tools such as Claude and Cursor for development, research, documentation, and bug triage while maintaining quality and security.
• Maintain legacy codebases and participate in the on-call rotation for issue response and triage.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Node.js and TypeScript backend development skills, including API and distributed service design, system design, and data modeling.
• Experience designing, building, and deploying high-quality software in cloud environments.
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, and a modern frontend framework such as React, including state management, accessibility, performance, and security.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design principles, and object-oriented programming.
• Proficient English and willingness to work from the assigned Poland office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with websockets and real-time applications.
• Experience contributing to cross-platform solutions.
