International Accounting Manager (Finance)

Salary: $104,500 – $188,000 per year.

The Pokémon Company International manages the Pokémon property outside of Asia, overseeing brand management, licensing, the Trading Card Game, and digital entertainment.

What you will do

• Oversee financial statements and accounting records for international entities to ensure global compliance.
• Develop and implement accounting strategies for new international market entries.
• Manage the financial consolidation process, including intercompany transaction reconciliation.
• Lead technical accounting for foreign currency derivatives and hedging activities under ASC 815.
• Identify and champion process improvements and automation within accounting functions.
• Design and monitor robust internal controls over financial reporting.

Requirements

• 8–11 years of relevant professional experience in Accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP principles and/or IFRS.
• Proven experience in overseeing and consolidating financial statements of international subsidiaries.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with major ERP systems.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 4 times per year.

Nice to have

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
• Direct experience with ASC 815 and foreign currency hedging.
