Accounting Associate (Fintech)

Location: Must be based in New York (Hybrid)

Salary: $75,000 – $90,000

What you will do

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and record journal entries and balance sheet/P&L reconciliations.
• Record invoices and support the order-to-pay cycle.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in line with US GAAP.
• Support treasury activities and respond to auditor requests.
• Contribute to system implementations and upgrades for finance ERPs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• CPA or progress toward CPA certification.
• Experience in SaaS, software, or financial services environments.
• Experience with SAGE or similar accounting/finance ERP systems.
