Salary: $205,000–$261,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers as a player-coach, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Unify fragmented legacy platforms for time tracking, leave management, and shift scheduling into a single system.
• Develop a compliance engine to automatically handle overtime and labor law rules across 50+ jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to define long-term strategy and execute the quarterly roadmap.
• Own the end-to-end pipeline from time entry to payroll processing to ensure payment accuracy.
• Drive hiring efforts to attract, develop, and retain high-performing engineering talent.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience developing production web applications.
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing a team of engineers.
• Based in New York City to work from the office on a hybrid basis.
• Deep understanding of data structures, distributed systems, and common architectural patterns.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
