TL;DR

Engineering Manager (Email): Leading the team responsible for building and maintaining core infrastructure that delivers billions of personalized emails monthly with an accent on high-scale parallelized platforms and data processing. Focus on guiding architectural decisions, scaling channel capacity, and developing a high-performing engineering team.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Salary: $160,162–$282,952/year (OTE: $180,000–$318,000/year)

What you will do

  • Lead and mentor the Email engineering team responsible for high-scale delivery infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to build new features based on customer feedback.
  • Guide key architectural decisions for highly parallelized systems and REST APIs.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop engineers to foster a high-performing team culture.
  • Manage team vision, goals, and development processes.
  • Contribute to technical implementation and code reviews in high-leverage scenarios.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record.
  • 2+ years of experience leading high-performing engineering teams.
  • Experience building foundational systems at scale.
  • Ability to make complex technical tradeoffs and communicate effectively.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Professional experience with Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, JavaScript, or React.
