Salary: $149,000 – $199,000 USD or $165,000 – $220,000 CAD

What you will do

• Drive initiatives to deliver high-quality, monitored, and maintainable user interface enhancements for Firefox Desktop.
• Lead a geographically distributed team of engineers, managing professional development through 1-1s and honest feedback.
• Balance quick delivery with long-term architectural approaches across various user experience portfolios.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, Operations, and Data Science teams to align goals and mitigate risks.
• Establish and iterate on engineering processes to support a high-performing team.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada.
• 4+ years of experience leading engineers in a software development environment across distributed teams.
• Strong background in software engineering and hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Proven track record of shipping sophisticated user-facing frontend products and platform initiatives like design systems.
• Ability to mentor, delegate, and manage engineers of varying seniority levels.
