What you will do
- Own the full technology strategy, platform architecture, and engineering organization for a vertical SaaS business.
- Lead the transition to AI-native engineering to create competitive advantages and unlock value from proprietary data.
- Collaborate directly with the CEO and leadership team as a core member of the operating company.
- Scale the engineering team by hiring top technical talent and developing engineers into leaders.
- Manage the platform's security posture and industry-specific compliance requirements, such as SOC 2.
- Align architecture and infrastructure investment decisions with direct commercial rationale.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States.
- Experience leading an engineering organization through major platform transitions, cloud migrations, or modernization.
- Proven track record of shipping AI-embedded product capabilities with measurable customer outcomes.
- Expertise in designing data architectures that serve analytics, BI, and AI as a unified asset.
- Experience owning SaaS security and compliance without relying on a dedicated security team.
- Ability to serve as a primary technology partner to a CEO or GM, representing the technical vision to boards and customers.
