Tech Lead, DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid, with Wednesdays required onsite in Chicago, Austin, or New York City

Base salary: $160,000–$180,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and role alignment. Eligible for an annual bonus and long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Architect the infrastructure and internal platform for AI-assisted application development and high-level automation.
• Design and build reliable, maintainable, and scalable deployment solutions for new and existing products.
• Automate environment provisioning, testing, and engineering workflows to improve development velocity.
• Develop and operate CI/CD processes with GitHub Actions and modern build tools in AWS.
• Improve monitoring, observability, system health, maintenance, upgrades, and security posture.
• Mentor engineers and define the long-term vision for a cloud-native, secure, and highly automated infrastructure stack.

Requirements

• 7+ years of DevOps experience, including at least 2 years leading teams or major technical initiatives.
• Expertise in at least one programming language; experience with TypeScript on Node.js is especially valued.
• Strong AWS experience; GCP experience is a bonus.
• Deep hands-on experience with Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architectures, including Kafka, RabbitMQ, or comparable message brokers.
• Experience maintaining sophisticated CI/CD pipelines and translating infrastructure concepts for product and development teams.

• Experience with GCP.
