Staff Platform Engineer - Infrastructure (USA)

Location: Remote (USA)

Salary: $220,000–$300,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Build and maintain infrastructure and tooling for the core platform.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate operational workflows.
• Improve infrastructure performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Maintain observability and incident response processes.
• Support security and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with full-stack, data, AI, and DevOps engineers to standardize environments and deployment patterns.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering or DevOps experience, ideally including infrastructure, performance, security, or compliance work.
• Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving.
• Professional experience with Python or another object-oriented programming language.
• Experience with serverless technologies such as Lambda and EC2, asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and performance tuning, ideally PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of Terraform, infrastructure-as-code best practices, and Docker or similar tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs or generative AI.
• Experience with distributed systems.
