TL;DR
Director - Utility Studies (Electrical Engineering): Overseeing and leading the System Studies group within the Strategic Services department with an accent on management, leadership, and business development. Location: Remote (US) or Hybrid (Lakewood, CO). Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Salary: $130,000 - $200,000 per year

What you will do
- Oversee and manage multiple technical teams, focusing on utilization and workload forecasting
- Manage financial documentation, including revenue, write-offs, COGS, and net income
- Develop and implement one- and three-year departmental plans with quarterly milestones
- Mentor Team Leads and Engineers while leading interviewing and onboarding processes
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to provide technical guidance and pricing alignment
- Establish and enforce Standard Best Practices to ensure high-level execution and deliverable quality
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution (M.S. preferred)
- 5+ years of engineering experience and 2+ years of engineering management experience
- In-depth knowledge of electrical system studies (short circuit, load flow, arc flash, harmonics, etc.)
- Proficiency with industry software such as DIgSILENT Power Factory, ETAP, CYMCAP, CDEGS, PSCAD, or PSS/e
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Excellent written and verbal command of the English language
Nice to have
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
- Experience performing system studies for renewable energy projects (wind, solar, or battery storage)
