What you will do

• Design and configure electrical hardware for hybrid engine rooms, focusing on AC/DC distribution, switchgear, and BMS interfaces.
• Develop high-precision technical packages, including wiring schematics in AutoCAD Electrical and 3D models in Creo.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Classification Society rules (ABS, DNV, Lloyd's Register) and USCG requirements.
• Manage engineering activities from concept through validation, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and BOM management.
• Conduct techno-economic analyses to evaluate the impact of electrical architectures on ship operator CAPEX and OPEX.
• Evaluate electrical components and partner technologies to ensure they meet marine-ruggedized standards.

Requirements

• Proficiency in AC/DC power distribution, power electronics, VFDs, and Energy Storage Systems.
• Experience with marine control systems and communication protocols such as J1939, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP.
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD Electrical and Creo Schematics.
• Knowledge of USCG federal regulations and International Class rules for vessel electrical installations.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to the USA.
