What you will do

• Partner with product, engineering, and design teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
• Provide legal guidance on AI/ML, data privacy, intellectual property, and open-source software issues.
• Draft and negotiate technology licensing agreements, integration partnerships, and ecosystem contracts.
• Develop product-specific legal frameworks, terms of service, and policies for scalable launches.
• Advise on open-source compliance strategy and governance of licensing obligations.
• Collaborate with Privacy, Security, and GRC teams to embed privacy-by-design principles.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• 4–8 years of legal experience, ideally combining Big Law and in-house roles in technology.
• Deep expertise in product counseling, AI/ML, privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and IP.
• Proven ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical business guidance.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience advising on SaaS, data platforms, or infrastructure products is highly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI regulatory frameworks such as the EU AI Act.
• Background in training data governance.
