Salary: $159,000 - $181,500 USD (Zone 1)

What you will do

• Provide legal guidance on privacy, information security, intellectual property, and procurement for a growing healthcare software company.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, and emerging state data privacy laws.
• Draft and review contracts in support of business development, operations, and product services.
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to conduct legal reviews of new software features, ensuring compliance by design.
• Proactively identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks to the business.
• Oversee responses to government subpoenas and customer/patient requests for health information.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as in-house counsel for a software/technology company or a national law firm.
• Must have a JD from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice in California (or eligible for Registered In-House Counsel status).
• Must be based in the United States.
• Strong ability to balance legal risk with business objectives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
