Salary: $266,000 – $295,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Lead accounting, reporting, and governance for strategic investments, consolidation, and complex ownership structures.
• Partner with Technical Accounting, Legal, and Treasury to identify and implement accounting implications for transactions early.
• Translate technical accounting conclusions into practical operating guidance, including close procedures, controls, and system requirements.
• Develop and maintain scalable governance frameworks and reporting infrastructure for increasing organizational complexity.
• Collaborate with external auditors to support significant accounting judgments and ensure audit readiness.
• Build and develop a high-performing team while establishing scalable ownership models.

Requirements

• CPA, CA, or equivalent certification.
• 12+ years of experience in technical accounting, consolidation, SEC reporting, or public-company accounting leadership.
• Deep expertise in US GAAP, specifically ASC 810 (VIEs, consolidation), ASC 323, and ASC 321.
• Strong experience evaluating complex ownership structures, joint ventures, and investment accounting.
• Proven track record of building and scaling accounting or controllership functions.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to San Francisco, CA.
