Supplier Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Implement processes for reviewing supplier quality documentation (E-Certs, FAIRs, material certifications) before shipment.
• Conduct virtual and in-person supplier audits to ensure compliance with AS9100/NADCAP and customer standards.
• Lead supplier corrective action processes (SCARs), root cause investigations, and resolution of quality escapes.
• Manage and monitor the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and supplier performance metrics.
• Evaluate and onboard new suppliers through capability assessments and qualification audits.
• Analyze performance trends to identify and drive supplier improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, supplier quality, or mechanical product inspection.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, GD&T, and precision manufacturing quality requirements.
• Experience reviewing FAIRs and material certification documentation.
• Proven ability to lead root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency required due to ITAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Familiarity with PPAP and structured supplier qualification processes.
• Certification in supplier or quality auditing.
• Experience collaborating with software teams to build digital quality workflows.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies or statistical quality tools.
