What you will do

• Support daily manufacturing engineering needs, including troubleshooting equipment, processes, and material flow.
• Lead root cause problem-solving for safety, quality, and downtime issues using data-driven analysis.
• Develop and implement assembly process improvements to meet safety, quality, and cost targets.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as ergonomics, scrap reduction, and cycle time optimization.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and quality to deliver robust solutions.
• Establish and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and control plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering.
• Experience supporting assembly operations or high-volume production systems.
• Demonstrated capability in structured problem-solving and data analysis.
• Must be able to work on-site in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
• No immigration sponsorship provided.

Nice to have

• Experience in driveline, powertrain, or complex mechanical assembly.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, PFMEA, and control plans.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and automation troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to lead continuous improvement projects with measurable results.
