What you will do

• Enhance development processes, tooling, and machinery to maximize product quality and manufacturing readiness.
• Implement new technologies, including automation and robotics, to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Plan and refine testing procedures and coordinate test plans, resources, and schedules.
• Lead SFMEA, PFMEA, and RCCA processes, as well as control plan development for heat treat areas.
• Collaborate with design teams to integrate testing considerations into system designs and evaluate failure impacts.
• Lead capital projects under $100k and solve production problems to drive operational improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Material Science, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in gear manufacturing or heat treatment operations.
• Experience with carburizing heat treat and dimensional control of powertrain and transmission gears.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools including Excel and Minitab.
• Expertise in Lean manufacturing, Standard Work, and Built-In Quality.
