What you will do

• Formulate and publish clear, step-by-step SOPs and visual work instructions for heavy machinery.
• Interface with machine operators and supervisors to capture tribal knowledge and document best practices.
• Support document control architectures and manage change-control implementations.
• Conduct shop-floor data collection and cycle-time analysis to support Lean manufacturing.
• Diagnose operational bottlenecks and analyze safety requirements through daily floor presence.
• Integrate quality-control checkpoints directly into operator documentation.

Requirements

• Must be a Junior-level undergraduate or Graduate student in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Must be available for full-time, on-site work in Niagara Falls from May through August 2026.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work safely within an active industrial manufacturing plant.
• Strong communication, organization, and proactive problem-solving skills.
