TL;DR

Payroll Implementation Specialist (SaaS): Leading end-to-end payroll onboarding and activation for new and expansion customers with an accent on project scope, risk mitigation, and customer coordination. Focus on translating business needs into system configuration strategy and managing third-party payroll partner alignments.

Location: Hybrid: Must report to the Bloomington, MN office 3 days/week (typically Tues/Wed/Thurs)

Salary: $75,000 - $95,000

What you will do

  • Lead end-to-end Payroll implementations for new and expansion customers as the accountable delivery owner.
  • Define and manage implementation plans, sequencing, milestones, and customer responsibilities.
  • Facilitate customer discovery sessions to translate business needs into system configuration strategies.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities with the Payroll partner Salsa to resolve cross-functional dependencies.
  • Manage delivery risks, adjust project plans, and implement corrective actions to maintain quality standards.
  • Drive structured testing, readiness validation, and activation planning for live operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in implementation, project management, payroll services, or customer-facing delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience independently leading complex customer onboarding engagements.
  • Experience in SaaS or technology-enabled service environments.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Must be based in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area to meet hybrid office requirements.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Payroll platforms, HR/payroll technology, or financial operations.
  • Ability to adopt AI tools responsibly to enhance productivity and innovation.
