Senior Development Engineer (Drivetrain Controls)

Location: Onsite five days a week in Mossville, Illinois, United States. Up to 10% travel may be required. Domestic relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 annually

What you will do

• Establish and support the Drivetrain Brake Mechatronics team for lower powertrain systems.
• Lead the design, development, implementation, and validation of drivetrain control software and algorithms for electrohydraulic brake systems.
• Own key drivetrain control technologies and provide long-term stewardship of legacy business technologies.
• Apply systems engineering principles to balance performance, durability, robustness, cost, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with machine, mechanical, electrical, software, and validation teams on design selections, verification, validation, and system integration.
• Lead process improvement initiatives involving standard work, lessons learned, and controls development best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited engineering curriculum, preferably electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, computer, systems, or agricultural engineering.
• Strong analytical thinking, decision-making, communication, and project management capabilities.
• Experience developing, simulating, testing, and validating computer-aided control systems.
• Knowledge of product testing, technical troubleshooting, and manufacturing or product development environments.
• 7+ years of engineering experience, with the ability to lead projects and coordinate multiple process partners.
• Must work onsite five days a week in Mossville, Illinois; visa sponsorship is not available.
