TL;DR
HR Business Partner (Engineering): Supporting a hardcore engineering team through the full employee lifecycle with an accent on performance management, organizational design, and employee relations. Focus on scaling the organization and optimizing workforce analytics within a high-growth, flat structure.
Location: Palo Alto, CA. This is not a remote or hybrid position; relocation is required if not already local.
Salary: $115,000 - $140,000 USD

What you will do
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, career development, recognition, and performance management.
- Partner with senior leaders on workforce analytics, organizational optimization, and leadership development.
- Collaborate with functional HR experts to optimize recruiting, compensation, and benefits programs.
- Counsel employees and managers on company policies, legal regulations, and employee relations issues.
- Facilitate internal transfers, manage promotion opportunities, and conduct exit interviews to minimize business risk.
- Maintain employee records and process HR transactions using Workday.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or HRBP.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, and dynamic business environments.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to conform to ITAR regulations.
- Must be based in or be able to relocate to Palo Alto, CA.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and interpersonal communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting engineering teams within the tech industry.
- Familiarity with Greenhouse, UltiPro, and/or Workday.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
