Assistant Staff Accountant

Salary: $26.94 – $30.69 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain balance sheet account analyses.
• Manage unclaimed property reporting, including due diligence and vendor coordination.
• Assist in the preparation of trended income statements and balance sheets.
• Analyze financial variances and provide explanations to management.
• Support annual financial and regulatory audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a degree with an accounting concentration/minor.
• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically advanced Excel and Word skills.
• Experience with X3 and Sage accounting software.
• Fundamental knowledge of general ledger and financial statements.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity with occasional onsite office attendance in San Diego.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 50/10 Mbps) for remote work.
