What you will do

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of assembly personnel, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
• Oversee the assembly of UAVs, subsystems, and precision aerospace components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Train and mentor assembly technicians to promote a culture of accountability and teamwork.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve technical or process issues.
• Ensure strict compliance with AS9100, ISO, and ITAR aerospace/defense regulatory requirements.
• Support lean initiatives such as 5S and standard work to optimize assembly efficiency and reduce waste.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 2-3 years of assembly or production leadership experience in aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and composite aerospace assembly methods.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, assembly diagrams, and specifications.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required; sponsorship is not available.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems for scheduling and material tracking.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
• Direct hands-on experience with UAV or defense-related system assembly.
• Knowledge of torque, bonding, sealing, and wiring practices common in aerospace.
• Experience implementing lean assembly cells or automation solutions.
