What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end design process for telecommunications and low-voltage systems, including feasibility assessments and drawing production.
  • Provide technical leadership for structured cabling, wireless backbones, and integrated AV/security systems.
  • Direct internal BIM and drafting resources to ensure design intent is accurately captured in engineering drawings.
  • Author and maintain technical specifications in compliance with ANSI/TIA, BICSI, and NFPA 70 standards.
  • Manage project governance, including budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure installation compliance, troubleshoot integration issues, and review commissioning test results.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in designing or leading the design of telecommunications structured cabling systems.
  • Active RCDD credential or ability to attain it within one year of employment.
  • Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA, BICSI, and NFPA 70 (NEC) standards.
  • Proficiency with Navisworks for design review and clash coordination.
  • Proven experience in project budgeting, scheduling, and responding to complex RFP/RFQ packages.
  • Technical or Associate’s degree in a related field (Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering preferred).
